UPBasketball has its first week of training at the new home!

This week marks the first week of Unlimited Potential Basketball’s new training facility being open. The UPB Team was delighted to open the doors on Saturday, April 1st to the community and show our supportive clients the facility we have been working on for three months! We are excited to start this new journey, and our first week open has been a success.

On the first day of the new gym opening, UPB hosted a launch party and invited close family and friends, and those who donated more than $500 to the UPBasketball Fundraiser. The launch party was a blast with food and drinks, athletes playing games on the new court, and the community conversing with each other. The party ended on a thank you note from owners Packie and Bianca Turner, where they announced that UPB will be at its new home for the next ten years.

“Grand Opening was a success! We are beyond excited to be staying in the community with a bigger space and more room to help more people learn and grow with that game we all love so much,” Coach Packie said on a recent Instagram post. “Thank you for everyone all these years, old and new, for being a part of our family and helping us build something special in the community. For all of our donors thank you, we appreciate your belief in us and what we do.”

The gym is not completely finished, but it is so close! We are still in the works of installing two main court hoops to the gym, putting in padding around the gym and setting up offices.

Now that UPB is officially moved in and training is back on schedule, we are excited to keep the momentum going and stay true to our mission: to develop hardworking and mentally tough individuals who understand their potential is unlimited.

“It’s been really fun seeing the excitement our old clients have, the ones who started with us back at the first gym and even when we were in the East Bay. I think what’s special is we get to be part of the growth and development of so many athletes, and their families are just as invested in our growth and journey,” said CEO Bianca Turner.

We are happy to bring back popular classes and events such as our All-Girls Clinics, Adult Training, the Little Hoopers Clinics and more at our new facility. Thank you again to our UPB community for all of your support and to those who donated to our UPBasketball fundraiser to help make it happen! Now let’s get back to work!
