Coach Packie- Chief Training Officer

Recently, Coach Packie has had the amazing opportunity to work with some professional athletes from his favorite local championship team The Golden State Warriors and the 2 time MVP. Packie has worked with children age 6 and older to professionals players both here and overseas. He has a unique approach to teaching and making sure the game is always enjoyable. Many young athletes are passionate about basketball and he wants to help not only ignite that fire, but allow it to grow so that it never burns out.

Coach Packie attended Holy Names University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Sports Management.

Ashley Hawkins- Player Development Coach & Social Media Manager

Ashley Hawkins was raised in Sacramento, Ca. She attended Antelope High School where she was inducted in the Antelope High School's Women's Basketball Hall of Fame earning back to back first team all-league titles (c/o 2012). She was named MVP of the 2012 Sacramento Optimist All Star game and also played in the 2012 Sac vs. Bay All Star game. Ashley then went on to play two years at Vincennes University where she was captain of her team and nationally ranked in the top 100 JUCO women's basketball player rankings during her 2013-2014 season. After Vincennes, she went on to play three years at The University of Evansville where she red shirted for one out of the three years. At the University of Evansville she earned her degree in psychology. Ashley is excited to join the UPB team to share her passion and knowledge for the game with the younger generation to help them reach all their goals and get to the next level.

Michael Orlich- Player Development Coach and Special Projects Coordinator

Michael is from Fresno, California where he attended Clovis West High School and was a three year varsity starter. He continued his playing career at the University of San Francisco and graduated in 2019. Alongside playing at USF, he also started his skill development training there. After his career at USF he joined the coaching staff at Washington State under Kyle Smith where he was in charge of Player Development, along with receiving his Masters in 2021. He worked out the guys on a day to day basis and was also in charge of running spring team workouts. After his two years at Washington State, he worked the NBA Pre-Draft in Santa Barbara alongside Packie Turner. Michael joined the UPBasketball team because he loves the game of basketball and loves being able to share that same passion with the players coming in to work.

Bianca Turner- CEO

Bianca Turner and Coach Packie Turner started UPBasketball in Oakland, California in August 2016. She grew up in Oakland and graduated from Santa Clara University with her Bachelors in Business Marketing. Bianca is passionate about creating an environment that teaches hard work and mental toughness. Each UPB program is designed with the athletes in mind. Madisen Carter- Social Media Coordinator

Madisen was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She went to Antelope High School where she was the head of the sports section for the school’s news team, Titan TV News. In 2016 she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Journalism and a certificate in Sales and Marketing Essentials in May of 2020. As a sports reporter and journalist at ASU, she covered high school sports in the Phoenix area, ASU Athletics, the Arizona Fall League, and more. Currently, Madisen is back at ASU pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Business at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Madisen is excited to be a part of the UPB team and to share all the talented athletes’ stories with the community.
